Music Video and Commercials Auteur Returns to Film for Cavegirl the Movie Starring Disney Star Jennifer Stone

One of the most celebrated directors in the world of music video and commercials, Andy MORAHAN, has signed to direct the movie version of the hit BBC TV teen series, ‘Cavegirl’, developed with the Assistance of the UK Film Council through National Lottery funding.

Andy is known for his multi-award winning collaborations with artists such as George Michael, Paul McCartney, Bon Jovi et al but he also directed the current feature documentary “Eyes Wide Open” which is closely competing with X Men First Class at the UK box office.

Cavegirl the Movie, screenplay by Cavegirl creator Daniel Peacock, is scheduled for production in South Africa later this year and will star Disney’s up-and-coming Mean Girls 2 and Emmy-winning Wizards of Waverly Place star Jennifer STONE as Cavegirl, and Jacob ZACHAR, from ABC’s Greek.

Andy Morahan commented “Cavegirl is a hugely exciting project. I love the nature of the modern dialogue set in a timeless stone age world.”

Producer Andy Bell commented “I have admired Andy’s work for 20 years; he is the perfect director for this project, not least because he remains completely plugged into the music scene and will create a look and feel that our teen audience wants from Cavegirl on the big screen”.

Cavegirl the Movie is being produced by UK producers Andy Bell and Tim Woolford, alongside South Africa’s Michael Auret co-producing with Moonlighting Flims.
